Description

Jean Carne's recording career began in 1971 with her then husband Doug Carn. Three albums 'Infant Eyes' (1971), 'Spirit of the New Land' (1972) and 'Revelation' (1973) came out on the influential Black Jazz Records label.

Jean Carne joined Motown Records in 1982 for the 'Trust Me' album. Jean Carne has also collaborated with Duke Ellington, Earth, Wind & Fire, George Duke, The Temptations, Dexter Wansel, Kenny Gamble, Stanley Turrentine, Billy Paul, Azar Lawrence, Mtume, Al Johnson ('I'm Back For More'), Bohannon, Rick James, Roy Ayers, Grover Wahsington Jr. and many more.

Her latest release is on the 'Jazz is Dead' label alongside Lonnie Liston Smith, Ali Shaheed Muhammad (A Tribe Called Quest) and Adrian Younge.
