Join on Thursday 24 September at the historic St James Garlickhythe Church in central London for a very special evening of live music.
Their Vice President, Grammy award-winning pianist Christopher Glynn, will accompany internationally renowned soprano Rowan Pierce. They will be joined by their very own Julia White, an oboist who visits hospitals and care homes with Music in Hospitals & Care. They will perform a range of pieces across the centuries to celebrate our work and the power of music.
Christopher explains: “As one of the charity’s Vice Presidents, I have seen how deeply their work can touch people’s lives, and how much difference a live musical encounter can make. They offer something no recording or streaming platform can replace – music made in the moment, for particular listeners, with time to talk, listen and share the experience".
“The programme is a celebration of music in its many different roles, moving between songs and melodies in which it is praised, imagined, remembered and shared.”
It promises to be a night of exceptional music.
