Do you believe in ghosts? Steve McNeil (WiFi Wars) is in the strange situation of not believing in ghosts, but having seen one, twice. Earlier this year, he learned of the Ri’s strange historical relationship with the occult and paranormal from the Ri Demo Team’s Michael Cutts.

Join Steve and Michael for a spooky science adventure in the Theatre as they explore mysterious tales from history where science and the unexplained seem to meet. Using objects from the Royal Institution’s collection, they’ll recreate fascinating experiments and investigate how Victorian scientists tried to understand strange sights, sounds, and ghostly encounters. Could there be a scientific explanation for every spooky story? Or are some mysteries still waiting to be solved?

Filled with surprising demonstrations, curious historical tales, and a Halloween atmosphere, this show is perfect for inquisitive young minds who love science, mystery, and a little bit of spookiness.

How To Get Your Tickets

1. Book your desired number of tickets and await an email from us confirming your order. This is NOT a ticket.

2. Present your confirmation on arrival at the venue. Ensure that you take personal ID with you or you may be turned away

Pricing Information

• For this event, there are two ticket types: Free Tickets, and Free Tickets with £5 Donation + TFG booking fee

• For Free Tickets, no further payment applies beyond the TFG booking fee

• For Free Tickets with £5 Donation + TFG booking fee, the total payable per ticket is £7.95. The full £5 donation goes straight to the Royal Institution to continue their excellent scientific education work

• Please note: Tickets for RI Members and RI Patrons retail at £7.90 on the third-party site

• This is a theatre event for children and adults to enjoy together. We recommend our family talks for children aged 7–13, though they can be enjoyed by audiences of all ages.
