British actor Ruth Madeley is outstanding as Judith Heumann, the activist who helped fight for anti-discrimination laws for individuals with disabilities, in CODA director Siân Heder's enthralling film.

Featuring an exceptional ensemble, including Mark Ruffalo and Dylan O'Brien, Heder's precisely rendered drama recreates the battle between government officials and the activists, culminating in their 28-day takeover of San Francisco's Federal Building in 1977.

What emerges is a vision of a tenacious, witty collective of history-makers whose groundbreaking act of resistance was instrumental in bringing much-needed social change.
